Bespoke & Scenario-Based Training

Training Built Around Your People, Risks & Environment

Course Overview

Bespoke training begins with understanding what your organisation actually needs. Content can be developed around your environment, activities, existing procedures, equipment and the types of incidents your staff or volunteers may reasonably encounter.

Delivery can combine focused teaching, practical skills and scenario-based exercises, allowing participants to apply what they have learned rather than simply discussing what they might do.

Course Aim

The aim is to provide relevant, practical training that reflects the needs of your organisation and gives participants greater confidence to recognise problems, make appropriate decisions and take effective action in realistic situations.

Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes are agreed according to the needs of the organisation and may include helping participants to:

  • Recognise and prioritise emergencies relevant to their environment
  • Apply appropriate first aid principles in realistic situations
  • Develop practical skills relevant to identified risks
  • Use available emergency equipment confidently
  • Communicate effectively during an incident
  • Work together during practical scenarios
  • Develop confidence in decision-making under pressure
  • Identify learning points and opportunities to improve preparedness

Who Should Attend?

Bespoke & Scenario-Based Training is suitable for organisations whose training needs are not fully met by a standard course or where additional practical training would benefit staff, volunteers or existing first aiders.

It can be developed for workplaces, schools, care settings, sports organisations, community groups, event teams and other environments with particular risks, procedures or training requirements.

Duration

Flexible – Based on Your Requirements

Session length is agreed during planning and will depend on the learning objectives, practical content, number of participants and complexity of the scenarios required.

Certification

Certification will reflect the training delivered. Where the programme is bespoke and non-accredited, participants will receive a P3 First Aid Training Certificate of Attendance detailing the training completed.

Where a recognised or accredited course forms part of the agreed programme, the appropriate certification arrangements will be confirmed before delivery.

Course Content

Content is developed around the organisation’s identified needs and may include:

    • First aid emergencies relevant to the working environment
    • CPR, AED and resuscitation scenarios
    • Medical emergencies and deteriorating casualties
    • Trauma, wounds and bleeding

    • Practical simulations based on realistic incidents
    • Review, feedback and reflective learning

Availability

Bespoke & Scenario-Based Training can be delivered at your workplace, organisation or another suitable venue. Wherever practical, delivery at the organisation’s own location can help make scenarios more relevant to the environment in which participants may actually need to respond.

Contact P3 First Aid Training to discuss your objectives, participants, environment and any particular risks or scenarios you would like the training to address.

Planning Your Training

We will work with you before delivery to understand what you want the training to achieve. This allows us to agree suitable learning objectives, practical content, scenarios, duration and equipment requirements before the session takes place.

Where a standard recognised first aid qualification would better meet your needs, we will tell you rather than unnecessarily creating a bespoke programme.

Frequently asked questions

What is Bespoke & Scenario-Based Training?

It is training developed around the specific needs, environment and risks of your organisation rather than following a fixed syllabus. It can combine focused teaching, practical skills and realistic scenarios.

We discuss your objectives, participants, environment, existing procedures and the types of incidents your team may realistically encounter. From this, we agree appropriate learning outcomes and practical content.

Yes. Wherever appropriate, scenarios can reflect your own environment, activities, equipment and realistic emergency situations, helping participants apply their learning in a relevant context.

Yes. Delivery at your own workplace or organisation can be particularly useful for scenario-based training because participants can practise within the environment in which they may actually need to respond.

How long does bespoke training take?

There is no fixed duration. Session length depends on your learning objectives, number of participants, practical content and the complexity of any scenarios required.

Not necessarily. Training can be developed for complete beginners, staff requiring additional awareness, or existing first aiders who would benefit from more advanced or environment-specific practical scenarios.

Bespoke training is not automatically an accredited qualification. Where a recognised or accredited course forms part of the agreed programme, the relevant certification arrangements will be confirmed before delivery.

Yes. For bespoke non-accredited training, participants will receive a P3 First Aid Training Certificate of Attendance detailing the training completed. Appropriate certification will be provided where a recognised course forms part of the programme.
